In the late 90's, Owner and Founder, Doug Phillips became immersed in Computers and becoming a web designer by taking classes at Nashville Tech, learning as much as possible, while working a full time job in the IT field which led to pursuing web site design. By 2003, Doug was finishing up his certifications at TechSkills as a Master CIW Designer, and left Corporate America to officially launch Big Picture Web Design in Spring Hill, TN.

As a web designer, Doug recognized that there was an opportunity to provide web development solutions that could be integrated into custom designs for thousands of dollars less than fully custom development solutions, save clients hundreds a year in maintenance, achieve a significantly faster time to market, allow the client to realize their ROI much faster, and give clients the flexibility to choose only the services they need verses offering an "all or nothing" solution.

Doug understands the challenges owners face. As a result the motivation is simple: To provide solutions, ideal for the established business, empowering the non-technical clients to achieve their business objectives while reducing start up and recurring expenses.
